Required Skills Primary skill: Cockroach DB, DataStage, Oracle (PL/SQL), ETL/ELT, SQL, Data Modeling, Performance Tuning, Data Migration, Data Warehousing, Data Governance, Backup & Recovery, Monitoring, Automation, Git, Cloud Experience. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage CockroachDB distributed database clusters Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of database systems Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing Manage data distribution, replication, and consistency models Support database migrations from traditional RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) to CockroachDB Monitor database health and resolve performance bottlenecks and failures Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies Develop and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage for data extraction, transformation, and loading Design data integration workflows to support business and analytics requirements Optimize DataStage job performance and scheduling Handle data ingestion from multiple sources into target systems Perform data validation, transformation, and quality checks Troubleshoot ETL failures and ensure data pipeline reliability Manage and support Oracle database environments Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL scripts Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization Support data modeling and schema design Assist in data migration and integration with CockroachDB and DataStage workflows Maintain data integrity, security, and governance standards Qualifications Minimum 10 years experience; Bachelor of Computer Science degree.
