Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney

Los Angeles, California | Hybrid

A confidential California defense practice is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney with approximately 2–5 years of litigation experience.

The practice focuses primarily on defending hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in medical malpractice and professional liability matters while also handling premises liability litigation.

This role offers the opportunity to manage an active caseload with daily mentorship from experienced senior attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical malpractice, professional liability, and premises liability cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and litigation reports.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Communicate with clients, insurers, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate on litigation strategy.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership.
• Approximately 2–5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Medical malpractice, professional liability, insurance defense, or comparable litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $120,000–$150,000 DOE
• Hybrid schedule with one remote day per week initially.
