Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

Law + Brandmeyer LLP, a highly regarded boutique litigation defense firm specializing in Medical Malpractice, Employment Law, Administrative Proceedings, and General Liability, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of one of Pasadena’s leading litigation defense practices. $115K/yr - $200K/yr Position Overview We are looking for an associate who is confident handling a broad range of litigation tasks. Responsibilities include: Draft, review, respond to discovery documents and motions Argue motions in open court Take, defend, and summarize depositions Interview witnesses and summarize those meetings Review and summarize various records, including medical records, HR records, and documents produced in discovery Prepare cases for trial including the drafting of trial documents, motions in limine, and other required tasks Perform legal/medical research Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Licensed by and in good standing with the California Bar Strong writing and analytical skills The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment A self-directed, proactive approach to case management Comfort working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team While prior litigation experience in healthcare law is preferred, we welcome applications from developing attorneys who bring strong core skills in any litigation arena, a commitment to excellence, and a demonstrated interest in our practice areas.
