United by our core values and our purpose of helping people thrive in the brave pursuit of next, our 20,000+ people in 53 offices around the world combine experience across technology, data sciences, consulting, and customer obsession to accelerate our clients’ businesses through designing the products and services their customers truly value.OverviewAs an Android Developer, (Chicago - Hybrid) you will contribute to building modern, high-quality mobile applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.You will take ownership of well-defined features and help deliver intuitive, accessible, and performant user experiences aligned with our design systems and engineering standards.Work closely with senior engineers to translate product requirements into clean, functional UI using Jetpack Compose and the existing design systemBuild and maintain UI screens and reusable components using Compose, following established component libraries and design tokensWrite readable, maintainable, and testable Kotlin code aligned with team coding standards and design patternsImplement analytics instrumentation for new and existing features in line with established naming conventions and schemasApply accessibility best practices (TalkBack, content descriptions, touch target sizing) to ensure inclusive user experiencesWrite unit tests and UI tests to validate feature functionality and qualityUse AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity and code quality in day-to-day tasksParticipate actively in code reviews, contributing feedback and incorporating input from peers with a growth mindsetTake ownership of small, well-scoped features from development through testing and delivery with guidance from senior engineersQualificationsYour Skills & ExperienceExperience developing Android applications using KotlinExposure to or hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for building UIUnderstanding of modern Android architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM or similar)Familiarity with writing unit tests and/or UI tests for Android applicationsAwareness of accessibility fundamentals in mobile developmentUnderstanding of version control systems such as GitAbility to follow coding standards and contribute to a collaborative team environmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environmentSet Yourself ApartExperience working with design systems, component libraries, or design tokensFamiliarity with analytics tracking frameworks or event instrumentationExposure to CI/CD pipelines or mobile release processesExperience leveraging AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot) in development workflowsDemonstrated curiosity, openness to feedback, and continuous learning mindset aligned with Publicis Sapient values such as Learning Mindset and Inclusive CollaborationContributions to personal, academic, or open-source mobile projectsAdditional informationSalary Range: $81,000 - $140,000 annual salaryThe ranges shown above represent a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient.
