JOB Location: GALT, CA

SUMMARY The Therapist will provide Crisis Intervention and Support, Connection to county services and facilitation of Mental Health groups to clients diagnosed with substance use disorders and Mild to Severe Mental Health Diagnosis’s. While collaborating ongoing with both internal and external treatment team members that involve Program Managers, Certified and Registered Counselors, Nurses and other LPHAs, and behavioral health collateral agencies and/or county MH case managers and clinicians.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Meet with all clients to perform initial assessment

· Add and implement treatment plans as part of the treatment team based on Dept of healthcare standards, clinical experience, and knowledge.

· Facilitate weekly Group Therapy sessions with assigned facility.

· Complete progress notes for all clients interactions based on individual sessions, group sessions, crisis intervention, as well as any interaction warranting clinical intervention.

· Complete comprehensive bio, psychological assessments, gathering history, and other pertinent information to be used in conjunction with treatment plan.

· Maintains appropriate professional boundaries.

· Participates in internal and external organization meetings and training as required by program.

· Maintains an awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements as they relate to client documentation; Mandate reporting when applicable to APS/PD.

· Assumes accountability for providing appropriate documentation of all therapy/counseling sessions, significant incident occurrences, phone conversations, etc. consistent with applicable regulatory requirements.

· Responsible for the maintenance of client files with assurance that all needed releases of information and other paperwork are present in the file and up to date. Promptly requests new or additional information and paperwork.

· Must have experience providing services in the SUD field

· Electronic Health Record experience preferred

· Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.

· PPD test for tuberculosis and satisfactory results.

· Criminal background clearances.

· Free from state sanctions.

· Valid driver license with DMV printout, valid.

· CPR/First Aid/BLS certification.

· Master’s degree

· Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an LFMT, LPCC, LCSW

· Minimal 1-5+ years’ experience providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services to a full range of individuals, either Residential, Outpatient or Inpatient SUD treatment.

· Maintain professional licensure and/or certification through employment with GLOM.

· Understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment.

· Act as a team member providing input and reporting observations and concerns regarding client care.

· Demonstrate the ability to act as part of a team in an appropriate manner in a crisis.

· Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, in an often-ambiguous environment.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups.

· MS Office Suite proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

· Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
