Quick Facts: Location: 2550 Sister Mary Columba Drive, Red Bluff, CA 96080 Start Date: 06/25/2026 Shift: 24-hour on-call (OB/GYN ER coverage), no clinic duties Schedule/Availability: July 25–29 (7 am), ongoing dates to be determined; response time within 20 minutes Hours/Week: Varies, averaging 16-20 patients per day Employment Type: Locum, full-time Licensure/Certifications: Active California medical license, board certified/eligible in OB/GYN Experience: Full scope OB/GYN with delivery and surgical experience; previous hospital privileges preferred Pay & Benefits: Pay Package: Flat rate of $5,000–$6,000 for daily on-call; $7,500–$9,000 for holiday call, including all hours (rates included in total) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical coverage (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time per applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Support staff including dedicated medical assistants and practice managers What You’ll Do: Provide 24-hour OB/GYN emergency care on-call, performing deliveries (vaginal and C-section) and gynecological surgeries Manage inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecological cases Respond promptly to emergency situations within 20-minute response time Collaborate with support staff to ensure quality patient care Document patient interactions in the Cerner EMR system Maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols What You Need: Active California medical license and current OB/GYN board certification/eligibility Demonstrated experience in full-scope OB/GYN care, including deliveries and surgeries Ability to manage emergency cases independently Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to respond within required response time and adhere to schedule requirements About the Assignment: Join a dedicated team providing essential OB/GYN emergency coverage at a well-respected hospital in Red Bluff. This position offers a challenging and rewarding environment in a community-focused setting, with substantial support to ensure success. No NICU coverage required, with an average of 40 deliveries per month. Credentialing is estimated to take 30–60 days; prior privileges or active privileges at other facilities will facilitate the process.
