The patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics, and common procedures include:TraumaNeurosurgery (ACDF, spinal fusions, Crani-procedures)Da Vinci Xi roboticsUrologyVascularOpen heartsGeneral surgeryTrauma orthopedicsPediatricsMinimal plastics and ENTPurposeThis position provides optimal patient care utilizing nursing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care, delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families/caregivers.Nature and ScopeThe incumbent is challenged to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems and must provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Consideration is given to the cognitive and psychosocial needs of the patient population served while meeting the standards of quality set forth in age-specific competency standards.
