Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool – Georgia

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Augusta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment with every other weekend requirement (average 6 weekends per contract). Flexibility required for float pool scheduling across multiple units. Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off.

Highlights:

• Float Pool position supporting 5 Medical/Surgical and Medical/Surgical Telemetry units
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with adult to geriatric population
• Epic EMR required (hard stop) along with Pyxis and SBAR
• May float to sister campus location approximately 3 miles away
• Primary care nursing model with hands-on clinical responsibilities including vital signs and blood glucose checks
• No call requirements; holiday coverage required per assignment schedule

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic EMR experience required (non-negotiable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 patients preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Ability to float across multiple units and adapt to varying patient assignments
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date; bi-weekly orientation schedule enforced
