Licensed Veterinary Technician - Radiology

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Radiology department in Kirkland, WA! LVT Pay: $26.75 - $51.32/hr, based on experience and Kahuna level. Competitive shift differential for nights and weekends. Shift Differential Mon‑Fri: 6pm‑8am = $4.50 Sat & Sun: 6pm‑8am = $8.00 Sat & Sun: 8am‑6pm = $4.50 Primary Responsibilities Patient Care & Handling Safely restrain and monitor patients during imaging. Assist with sedation/anesthesia; track vital signs. Imaging Procedures Perform/assist digital X‑ray, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, occasional MRI. Position patients and maintain radiation safety. Equipment & Safety Operate and QA imaging equipment; troubleshoot minor issues. Workflow Coordination Schedule imaging, prioritize cases, communicate results, keep records. Collaboration & Communication Work with ER, ICU, Oncology, Surgery; advise sedation protocols; support staff. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Veterinary anatomy, imaging protocols, positioning. Radiation safety compliance. Anesthesia monitoring. High‑volume, fast‑paced workflow. Strong organization, communication, teamwork. Adaptability to new technology. Qualifications Active Washington State LVT credential. 1–3 years clinical experience (specialty/ER preferred). Diagnostic imaging experience strongly preferred. Anesthesia experience required. Hands‑Free Radiology and Fear‑Free handling preferred. Physical Requirements Lift/restrain animals up to 50+ lbs. Stand, bend, move during shift. Work in physically/emotionally demanding environment. Work Environment Specialty & emergency hospital setting. Radiation exposure with safety precautions. 8:30‑6:30 shift; 30‑min lunch. On‑call Saturdays 9am‑2pm in 3‑week rotation.
