Join our dynamic team as a Local Truck Driver in the Tracy area . Take on the exciting challenge of delivering freight across diverse routes with precision and professionalism. In this vital role, you will operate commercial trucks, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in navigating routes using GPS navigation systems and adhering to all safety regulations will be key to your success.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various commercial trucks including tractor-trailers across designated local routes.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials guidelines, and dangerous goods handling procedures.
- Use GPS navigation to plan efficient routes and adjust for traffic or road conditions to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports per regulatory standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any safety issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or safety concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving focused on route driving and freight delivery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety protocols.
- Understanding of logistics and cargo handling procedures for various freight types.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and experience using GPS navigation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in commercial truck driving.
