Technical Support Engineer - HMI

The Customer Support Organization is responsible for the installation, qualification, upgrade, repair and maintenance of the ASML systems at customer sites and for transferring knowledge to customers. Each local branch performs these activities for its region. As a Global Support Engineer, you will provide 3rd‑line hardware and software support for the HMI product line across the US and Europe. The team of eight Global Support Engineers collaborates to resolve issues quickly for major customers. Role and responsibilities Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and solve Hardware and Software issues. Follow standard procedures to escort unresolved issues to designated internal stakeholders. Prepare accurate and timely reports and ensure proper recording and closure of all issues. Document tool issues, develop best‑known methods (BKM) for troubleshooting, share experiences, and contribute to the BKM system. Support Research & Development projects to improve system performance. Install equipment according to manufacturing specifications. Transfer new product knowledge to Field Service Engineers (1L and 2L). Support on‑site introduction of new models and platforms to the local customer service team and customer engineers. Manage and support new upgrades or commercial options for existing HMI systems. Education and experience Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience. Minimum 3 years of diagnosing and troubleshooting HMI or similar capital equipment. Minimum 2 years’ experience with stakeholder management and partnering with cross‑functional teams. Other information Travel may be required up to 50% depending on business need (Veldhoven, Netherlands; Taiwan; Hillsboro, US). International travel up to 6 weeks may be required for initial trainings. This role requires communication with global stakeholders and on‑call responsibilities. Routine tasks: sitting, walking, talking, hearing, typing, handling equipment, twisting, reaching, and stretching. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Compensation and Benefits Base annual salary range: $103,125 – $154,688. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and market alignment. Individual pay is determined through interviews and a holistic assessment of candidate qualifications. The Company offers medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
