Work Environment This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while engaging with schools and families. Working within the framework of school-based programs, you will collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to develop tailored interventions that cater to the specific needs of children in early intervention programs. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of children to identify developmental delays and formulate intervention strategies. Actively participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary team members. Monitor and track developmental outcomes, adapting strategies as necessary to ensure sustained progress. Provide ongoing support to families, offering resources and training that leverage evidence-based practices and respect the individual journeys of each child. Utilize a coaching model and natural environment teaching methodologies to engage children and their families effectively. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding early intervention services. Foster rapport with children and families to create a nurturing and productive learning environment. Recommend frequency and types of services based on child development assessments, consistent with family priorities. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary focus of this role will be on infants and toddlers who exhibit disabilities or developmental delays. You will work closely with families to enhance their children’s physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and communication skills during these formative early years. Through your expertise and sensitivity, you will help build foundational skills to empower children as they progress through early childhood. Our ideal candidate will understand the nuances of child development and demonstrate a passion for working with young children in a variety of settings. Qualifications A master's degree in Social Work or Doctorate of Social Work from an accredited institution. Must hold a valid LCSW license issued by the Department of Public Health. Possess a valid driver’s license for travel to various schools and homes as necessary. Minimum of one year of experience in early intervention or working directly with young children. Commitment to the principles of Natural Learning Environment Practices. Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
