Payroll Analyst

Payroll AnalystA reputable construction company in the Seattle, WA area is partnering with LHH to search for a temporary Payroll Analyst for their team. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of payroll processing experience in high-volume environments. This individual will be working closely with the payroll processing team to ensure that the weekly payroll is correct and to help with any discrepancies or to process payroll exceptions. You need to have strong communication skills as you will be troubleshooting employee questions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving and a variety of work.Responsibilities:Review payroll data for accuracy, including earnings, taxes, deductions, and variancesAnalyze exception reports and validate payroll prior to final processingProcess off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, and retroactive payResearch and resolve payroll discrepancies, including escalated employee inquiriesAudit and reconcile payroll and HRIS data to ensure consistency and completenessIdentify and correct data issues such as missing, duplicate, or misaligned recordsPrepare payroll reports and support internal reconciliationsEnsure compliance with payroll regulations, including multi-state tax requirementsAssist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2s and tax reconciliationsQualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)Four or more years of payroll experience in a high-volume or multi-state environmentStrong understanding of payroll regulations, taxes, and garnishmentsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 toolsExperience with payroll systems and HRIS platformsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesPay Details: $40.00 to $43.00 per hourEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply
