Paralegal

Steptoe & Johnson, a Law360 Top 200 law firm, seeks an experienced Paralegal to join our Dallas litigation team. This role supports complex, high-exposure civil litigation and requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. The successful candidate will manage case materials, coordinate discovery, assist with trial preparation, and help keep matters moving efficiently from intake through resolution. Experience in Texas district courts and county courts at law is strongly preferred. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, pretrial proceedings, and trials. Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical, employment, and other case records. Prepare medical chronologies, billing summaries, expert witness logs, and other case-related materials. Coordinate third-party discovery, including subpoenas and depositions on written questions. Manage case intake, file organization, deadlines, and transferred matters. Communicate and collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, experts, and vendors. Maintain accurate daily time entries and meet billable-hour expectations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Bachelor's degree, associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience required. Prior law firm experience supporting complex civil litigation is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates will demonstrate: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
