To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. institution.
- Foreign graduates may apply if they hold a permanent certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
- Must have a valid medical license to practice in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
- Eligibility for board certification is required.
- Ages must range from 21 to 42 years.
- U.S. citizenship is required for Active Duty positions.
- Permanent U.S. residency is necessary for Army Reserve officers.
