## Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Library Assistant to join our team in Rio Grande, OH. As a Library Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our library's mission to provide access to information and foster a love for reading within our community. If you are passionate about literature, enjoy helping others, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you!
## Responsibilities
Assist patrons in locating and checking out library materials.
Maintain the organization and cleanliness of library collections.
Provide excellent customer service to library visitors.
Help with the planning and execution of library programs and events.
Assist in processing new materials and updating library databases.
Answer basic inquiries and provide information about library services.
Support the library staff with administrative tasks as needed.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in library science or a related field is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with library management systems.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Passion for reading and promoting literacy in the community.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
