Details Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting Provides nursing care in Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR specialty areas Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week 36 hours per week Requirements Active RN license (Oklahoma State or multistate compact eNLC) BLS certification (AHA) required upon hire ACLS certification (AHA) required within 6 months of hire Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Minimum of one year of RN experience required Experience in Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR preferred NIHSS certification required Additional Information Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses Obtains and monitors physiological data, intervening as necessary Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products Oversees treatment provided by technicians and other service providers and delegates tasks to support staff Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position Travelers may extend one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying after reaching this limit Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked American Traveler Job ID P-740324.
