Clinical Applications Engineer

Intuitive Surgical

Clinical Applications Engineer at Intuitive Surgical supporting early adoption of robotic minimally invasive surgery systems. The role involves on-site procedural support, clinician training, and technical expertise to help new hospital sites achieve proficiency with the equipment while providing feedback to product development teams.

Responsibilities

Provide procedural support and technical assistance to new robotic system sites
Train physicians and clinical staff on effective equipment use during procedures
Identify clinical adoption barriers and collaborate on solutions with training partners
Maintain communication with global engineering teams and share best practices
Stay current on product documentation, clinical literature, and troubleshooting techniques

Requirements

Minimum 2 years technical or clinical healthcare experience
Experience supporting clinical procedures in hospital environments
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or healthcare-based field
Proficiency with complex technical systems and physician collaboration
Ability to travel up to 70% and work nights/weekends as needed
Strong problem-solving and communication skills in high-pressure settings
Self-directed learner comfortable with autonomy and dynamic environments
