As a Dining Room Host at Keeneland Hospitality, you are the first point of contact for guests entering our dining venues. You are responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and waitlists efficiently, and ensuring a smooth flow of seating throughout the dining room. Your professionalism and attention to detail help set the tone for an exceptional guest experience in line with Keeneland's tradition of excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting and welcoming guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
• Managing reservations, waitlists, and guest seating assignments to optimize dining room flow.
• Escorting guests to their tables with professionalism and friendliness.
• Maintaining an organized and tidy host station and dining room entrance.
• Collaborating with servers and management to ensure timely seating and service.
• Handling guest inquiries and requests with a positive and helpful attitude.
• Adhering to Keeneland's standards of guest service and hospitality at all times.
• Assisting with light cleaning duties and dining room setup as needed.

Qualifications and requirements include:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Being friendly, approachable, and able to create a positive first impression.
• Being highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Working well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Being able to stand for extended periods and remain attentive during busy shifts.
• Being at least 16 years old.

Licensing requirements include:

• A valid Fayette County Food Handler's License is required for all food and beverage staff. Must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift.
• A Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers. This license will be provided to you on behalf of Keeneland upon hire.
