Overview Shift's Available: Days Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 12-hour shifts-7:00am to 7:00pm Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, AL We are seeking a Paramedic ,sometimesreferred to as ourEmergency Care Technician (ECT), Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) orEmergencyRoomTechnician(ER Tech).AParamedicwho willassist with tasks like starting IVs, performing EKGs, monitoring vital signs, and supporting airway management.The Paramedicplay a key role in trauma care, CPR, and patient transport, working closely with nurses and physicians during emergencies.The Paramedic willuse many of their field skills,who willalways perform under hospital protocols and supervision. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signsmonitoringunder supervision Assistwith airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts Provide wound care, apply splints,assistwith suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units andassistingwith room turnover and preparation Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point-of-care testing aspermittedbyourhospital policy Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high-acuity patient management, andassistwith clinical procedures and transitions of care Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: Current and valid paramedic license issued by the OEM/ADPH 3 years of paramedic experience Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current. PALS 30 days upon hire and maintain current. BVP 30days upon hire and maintain current Dysrhythmia exam completed with a score of at least 84% within 30 days of hire date. Full benefits at Prime Healthcare:
