Clinical Pharmacist – Specialty Pharmacy & Infusion Services

• Memphis, TN (On-Site)
• $130,000 – $140,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
• Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
• Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST
• Participation in on-call rotation as determined by pharmacy leadership

A rapidly growing healthcare organization specializing in specialty pharmacy and infusion services is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join its Rochester team.

 

This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative clinical environment where you will partner with patients, providers, nurses, reimbursement specialists, and pharmacy operations teams to help ensure safe, effective, and timely access to life-changing specialty medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance
• Evaluate patient records and treatment plans to support safe and effective medication therapy
• Monitor drug therapies and recommend clinical interventions when appropriate
• Identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications
• Provide medication counseling and patient education on specialty therapies
• Collaborate with Reimbursement, Nursing, Intake, and Pharmacy Operations teams to support optimal patient outcomes
• Serve as a clinical resource for prescription-related questions and patient care concerns
• Oversee pharmacy technician workflow and prescription processing activities
• Support specialty pharmacy operations, patient onboarding, referrals, and medication fulfillment
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory audits
• Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation and records

 

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Tennessee
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program
• Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience preferred
• Specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, biologics, rare disease therapies, or complex medication management experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of payer requirements, reimbursement processes, and specialty medication access preferred
• Experience with CareTend or similar pharmacy management systems is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment and medication safety knowledge
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
