The Executive Director of EIBI provides leadership and oversight of the Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention services to meet individuals’ needs and coordinate implementation of Vista programming. This position helps to create and maintain a positive and high-performing workplace culture and ensures that high quality services are provided to clients with fiscal objectives and goals met to maintain healthy financial operations. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintains responsibility for all aspects of EIBI program management, including client enrollment and progress, program outcomes, productivity, staffing, professional development, project planning, statistical reporting, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, waiver compliance, incident/risk management, quality management, claims management and fiscal reconciliation.
• Ensures that staff schedules meet the needs of the children served and accommodate their parents’, legal guardians’, and caregivers’ schedules.
• Sets performance targets, interprets key performance indicators to monitor program trends, analyzes and reduces the frequency of incidents and risks, and continually implements quality improvement controls.
• Achieves financial objectives by contributing to the preparation of the annual budget for approval of the Board, monitoring performance against budget, scheduling and improving expenditures, analyzing variances, producing successful audit scores, and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Identifies new and monitors ongoing daily activities to support individual engagement throughout the day aimed at skill development.
• Develops performance metrics, measures staff performance using appropriate tools and rubrics, and conducts assigned performance reviews as scheduled.
• Identifies, addresses, and manages employee performance discrepancies, disciplinary issues, and training deficiencies for department members.
• Implements performance management policies and positive management practices to result in high performing employees and teams.
• Achieves strategic and tactical objectives for entire program.
• Monitors and ensures that all agency policies and procedures meet compliance.
• Ensures compliance with staff qualifications and training requirements.
• Develops and monitors quality improvement plans for the agency
• Supervises staff who do not provide IBHS
• Represents the organization at community interagency meetings, including work groups, focus groups, exhibits, and conferences, meets with external parties interested in learning about or receiving services, and maintains positive stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborates with the greater Vista organization to produce aligned company goals, quality clinical outcomes, and seamless pathways of care.
• Maintains understanding and competency of core implementation, intervention, principles, and practices that form the foundation of Vista’s programs.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position is responsible for the supervision of the EI Managers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The following positions or frequent movements are typical of the job: sitting, walking, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, kneeling, and crawling, often for extended periods of the workday. Assignments may require the ability to physically move clients during possible physical interventions in order to maintain a safe learning environment. 

The position requires that an individual be able to learn new tasks quickly and effectively. Job requirements may change frequently. The ability to understand and carry out detailed, involved, instructions is mandatory. The incumbent must be able to travel to multiple locations as needed, when needed to conduct organizational business. Subject to inside environmental conditions.

EXPECTED SCHEDULE

  This is a full time minimum 40 hours per week position. Days and hours of the work week are agreed upon by management, the program hours and schedules, and the administrative calendar. There is a possibility of working evenings, weekends, or holidays. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in related service field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Program Director position
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership and administrative position required
• High proficiency of Microsoft Office products and Internet applications required
• Strong financial knowledge and organizational management experience required
• Required passing of all pre-employment regulatory and safety-sensitive employee requirements including, but not limited to, PPD testing, physical exam, trainings, and drug screening

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Experience working with individuals with Autism using principles of ABA highly desired
• Knowledge and experience of non-profit organizational management preferred
• Ability to work efficiently and with a service-oriented attitude with frequent interruptions
• Demonstrates strong leadership abilities and organizational skills
• Effectively manages multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
• Problem solves in a positive manner to analyze issues and create action plans
