Plumbing Instructor We have one instructor position currently available. Must be a Red Seal Journeyman in the trade and provide proof of journeyman certificate. Paid Breaks and Vacation Pay Christmas Break: 2 full weeks paid holidays @ 36.25 hours/week March Break: 1 full week paid holidays @ 36.25 hours Vacation Pay: 4% included in pay bi-weekly Employee Health and Dental Perks: Employer pays 50% of health and dental; if employee accepts benefits, costs are deducted bi-weekly covering September–August each year. Sick Days: 3 paid sick days with doctor’s note. Benefits Casual dress Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Vision care Job Type: Full-time Pay: $31,718.75 per year Experience: 5 years in trade (preferred) Work Location: In person Responsibilities Involved helping students find or getting practical placements via contacting industry in person. Student evaluation days (checkups) within the Fredericton and surrounding area; instructors are compensated at full wages for that day. Checkups will be done every Wednesday morning. Completion of placement record book weekly must be handed in. Staff meetings will be held every Wednesday afternoon at 2pm-4pm. Choosing textbooks and materials for the program prior to classes. Providing tutoring to students who need extra help. Developing and marking tests, assignments, and exams. Developing material for review weeks. Instructional hours are from 8:30-4:00; instructors are expected at the college by 8:15 a.m. with a 1-hour lunch break. Refer to Instructor Manuals for break schedules. Managing classrooms to ensure proper language, privacy, course objectives are covered, visual aids, PowerPoints and lectures related to material, multiple-choice testing, and cleanliness of classrooms (vacuuming, garbage, desks neat and tidy daily). Developing new industry contacts for placements. Taking attendance daily and keying marks. Preparing lectures for classes daily and tests and assignments. #J-18808-Ljbffr East Coast Trades College
