Director, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH) and Rutgers Health are seeking an experienced pediatric intensivist for the Director position of the 10‑bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) in Livingston, New Jersey. The Director will manage and develop the CBMC PICU clinical and academic programs and partner with other critical care leaders to integrate the service system‑wide. The Director will work with the RWJBH System Medical Director of Pediatric Critical Care to accomplish these goals along with other Pediatric Service Line objectives, manage complex situations, interact with hospital administration, and mentor new faculty. Responsibilities Manage and develop the CBMC PICU clinical and academic programs. Partner with other critical care leaders to integrate the service system‑wide. Work with the RWJBH System Medical Director of Pediatric Critical Care to accomplish service line objectives. Manage complex situations and interact with hospital administration. Mentor new faculty and oversee education of the healthcare team. Qualifications Board certified in pediatric critical care. NJ license or eligible for licensure. Commitment to academic excellence, including education and mentorship of all members of the healthcare team. Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong internal locus of control.
