Maintenance Technician – Immediate Start

Location: Hazelton, PA
Hiring Company: Midway Staffing
Pay: $27.00/hour
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:20 PM

Position Overview
Midway Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team. This role ensures production and operations are running safely, efficiently, and at the highest level of quality. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment while complying with all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Perform maintenance on production machines and facility equipment.

• Conduct inspections during preventative maintenance and report findings.

• Complete work orders and maintain accurate records in the maintenance tracking system.

• Identify and correct electrical issues using knowledge of drives and PLCs.

• Ensure productivity and quality following repairs, changeovers, or downtime.

• Maintain repair equipment and supply inventory.

• Address safety concerns quickly to minimize risk of injury.

• Support building safety and appearance (utilities, ventilation, housekeeping, plumbing).

• Communicate issues with group leaders and maintenance manager.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred (certifications a plus).

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to interpret gauges, tools, and instruments related to quality and repairs.

• Strong knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues.

• PLCs and drive experience preferred.

• Welding experience with MIG and/or arc welder required.

• Forklift experience required (training provided if needed).

Additional Information

• Contractor must wear steel-toed boots; additional PPE will be provided on site.
