Job Title: Documentation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Documentation Technician who will ensure data integrity on Aftermarket data for service parts catalogs and downstream systems. This role involves collaboration with Aftermarket and Engineering departments and serves as a data steward in our department, acting as a liaison between internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of responsibility for the assessment, improvement, and governance of the organization's critical data assets.

• Act as a trustee to ensure adequate data quality is maintained to support business processes.

• Engage with business leadership to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues.

• Assess the current state of data quality within the scope of responsibility.

• Establish target goals for data quality improvement and identify optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues.

• Implement improvement approaches within and beyond the area of control.

• Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark data quality.

• Develop, monitor, track, and report ongoing data quality levels.

• Possess the ability for career growth and experience.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• Experience with IMS and Excelerator.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with filters, VLOOKUPs & pivot tables.

• SAP knowledge required, with experience in Paragon or other SAP derivative systems being a plus.

• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive or truck parts.

• Ability to multitask and reprioritize quickly.

• Self-motivated, self-directed, and comfortable operating independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PowerPoint.

• Ability to provide informal guidance to new team members.

Work Environment

This detail-intensive and mentally engaging role is based at our Portland, Oregon HQ, with one day per week remote. The analyst will work extensively with part numbers, engineering drawings, and documentation of bills of material. The environment is collaborative, with regular interaction across warranty, engineering, and other internal teams. The position requires flexibility and good judgment to handle unexpected situations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
