RN - OR Circulator

ALLEN PARISH COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE

Job Summary: The RN Circulator manages all the necessary care inside the surgery room, assisting the team in maintaining and creating a comfortable, safe environment for the patient and observing the team from a wide perspective. With two primary roles as patient advocacy and patient safety.

Primary Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Perioperative Preparation:

Assess patient's preoperative status, ensuring readiness for surgery.
Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure to prevent errors.
Communicate with the surgical team to coordinate patient care and equipment setup.
Assist in positioning and prepping patients for surgery.

Intraoperative Assistant:

Serve as a patient advocate throughout the surgical procedure.
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during the operation.
Maintain a sterile field, adhering to aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
Manage surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and functionality.
Document intraoperative activities, including medications, fluids, and interventions.

Serve as a patient advocate throughout the surgical procedure.
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during the operation.
Maintain a sterile field, adhering to aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
Manage surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and functionality.

Collaboration and Communication:

Serve as a patient advocate throughout the surgical procedure.
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during the operation.
