Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse (MS REHAB) Wausau, Wisconsin. This inpatient rehabilitation unit seeks a dedicated RN to provide patient care with a focus on stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac cases. The position involves working rotating 12-hour shifts with a commitment of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday rotations. Job Details Position: RN in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (MS REHAB) specialty in Wausau, Wisconsin. Certifications: Wisconsin RN license, American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Education: Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelors Degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical Rehabilitation experience in an inpatient hospital setting (STAC) required; experience in the specified specialty preferred. Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6am-6:30pm and 6pm-6:30am, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Required Skillset: Rehab knowledge, primary cases including stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac. Charting Experience: Epic preferred. Additional Information: Float to all inpatient units as needed. Will typically have low census in 4-hour increments. Must be adaptable, resilient, social, and able to manage change well. Scrub colors can be any color. GSA hours not guaranteed during the week of orientation; guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays. During flu season, travelers declining vaccination must wear a mask at all times, in accordance with policy. Start date: 09/21/2026. End date: 12/19/2026.
