Position Cohn & Dussi, LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney with a minimum of three (3) years of experience to join our growing Massachusetts and Rhode Island practice. This is a full-time, in-office position based at our headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts . The successful candidate will work closely with the firm's partners and attorneys representing financial institutions, equipment finance companies, commercial lenders, SBA lenders, landlords, and commercial clients in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, creditors' rights, commercial and residential foreclosures, commercial lending, workouts, and commercial real estate matters. This position offers substantial courtroom experience, direct client contact, and the opportunity to manage sophisticated matters from inception through resolution. Responsibilities Manage an active litigation and transactional caseload. Represent financial institutions, lenders, and commercial clients in commercial litigation and creditors' rights matters. Handle commercial and residential foreclosure actions from commencement through sale. Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, contracts, and loan documents. Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses. Manage discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and mediations. Appear in Massachusetts and Rhode Island state and federal courts. Assist with bankruptcy proceedings, loan workouts, judgment enforcement, and commercial real estate transactions. Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation strategy and case developments. Qualifications Required J.D. from an accredited law school. Active admission to the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Bars. Minimum three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following: Commercial Litigation Creditors' Rights Bankruptcy Commercial Lending Equipment Finance Commercial or Residential Foreclosures Commercial Real Estate Loan Workouts Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills. Ability to independently manage an active caseload. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Admission to one or more federal district courts. Experience representing banks, financial institutions, or commercial lenders. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary of $90,000–$120,000 , based on experience.
