Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide per diem labor and delivery care during a scheduled strike. The nurse must be prepared to report for onboarding by 09/14 and work the strike shift on 09/15, with potential night shifts on 09/15 and 09/16. This is a temporary assignment requiring minimal compliance and adherence to strict scheduling deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and monitor maternal and neonatal health during labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in compliance with hospital policies.
- Attend pre-shift orientation to fulfill contractual and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all required certifications and documentation are up-to-date and verified.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active RN license in good standing.
- Obtain and maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable.
- Demonstrate experience in labor and delivery nursing, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Show proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or provide attestation of vaccination/declination.
- Be able to work scheduled strike shifts and attend mandatory orientation.
