Position/Specialty: Registered Nurse IMC Years of Experience Required: 2 years Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Requests: All requests must be included with the submission. Call-off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Accept First-Time Travelers: No Local Acceptance: Radius rules applicable Pending License: Not accepted; must have an active license Patient Population & Unit Details: Adults; 24-bed intermediate care unit Summary of Required Skills: Clinicians must have experience in neuro step-down and cardiac telemetry. Required skills include IV starts, port access, and central & peripheral line care. Blood product administration and respiratory care skills are necessary. Competencies include trach management, oxygen delivery, and chest tube care. Medication skills must encompass PCA and managing cardiac and vasoactive drips. Cardiovascular care skills should include post-MI and dysrhythmia management. Additional competencies include wound care, renal failure, and rapid response team use. Floating: Staff may be required to float to other units as needed. Floating will be limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies. Charting: 1 year of EPIC experience is required. Facility Highlights: The facility is a 283-bed Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital. It offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including cardiac care and orthopedics. The facility features a nursery, expanded ICU, and 24-hour emergency services. It has been recognized for high performance in heart and kidney failure. Travel Compliance: Travelers cannot extend for a 4th consecutive contract. After the 3rd consecutive contract, travelers must begin the process of converting to an employee status. Travelers must be significant distances from the facility to be eligible for contracts. Modules are billable and completed pre-start; eligibility for reimbursement is provided. Traveler Requirements: A minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the unit is required. Pre-assignment testing and required modules must be completed within 48 hours. All healthcare professionals must complete necessary documentation prior to starting.
