Dispatcher

AmeriStaff is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join the logistics team of a well-established local trucking company that is approaching 40 years in business . The Dispatcher will play a key role in coordinating the movement of freight, communicating with drivers and customers, monitoring shipments, and helping ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and possesses strong communication and data-entry skills Dispatcher Industry: Local Trucking & Logistics Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, with remote work every other weekend Employment Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of freight. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal team members. Monitor shipment progress and proactively address delays or issues that arise during transit. Maintain accurate records through data entry and proper management of logistics documentation. Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and organize shipment and logistics information. Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving logistical challenges as they occur. Maintain professional phone etiquette and effectively utilize phone systems. Manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Support overall daily dispatch and logistics operations. Qualifications & Requirements Previous dispatching or logistics experience preferred, but not required . Strong data-entry skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred, but not required . Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently when needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
