Shipping/Receiving Clerk II

Job Responsibilities:
- The Shipper will be responsible for handling, preparation, and all details pertaining to shipping various products, under minimum supervision. In this role, the incumbent will also perform loading the cargo into/onto various types of trucks, forklift and packaging experience preferred.
- To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ships products in accordance with shipping orders, completing bills of lading and all other duties.
- Wraps or arranges materials in shipping containers, using various packing materials and observes that products are properly packed.
- Interprets packing specifications and calculates from drawings or measurement of the equipment to be packed the size of the container and dimensions of pieces.
- Selects the correct barrier materials, i.e., cushioning materials, etc., and the required sizes of hardware such as nails, nuts, and bolts, etc.
Skills:
- Must have strong experience in packaging and forklift operation. Reliability and consistent attendance are critical for this role.
Education/Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience.
