Surgical Technologist - Methodist

Role Overview Provides surgical technology services to support direct and indirect patient care during operative procedures. Assists surgeons, prepares sterile fields, manages instruments and equipment, and ensures efficient case setup and execution. Acts as a resource, mentors peers, and trains new technologists and students, functioning as an informal lead when needed. Demonstrates confidence and adaptability across a variety of surgical specialties, anticipating intraoperative needs and handling unexpected events effectively. Responsibilities Prepares for and supports surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup Scrubs on simple to complex cases, adapts to surgeon preferences, and performs case closing activities Anticipates intraoperative changes, intervenes proactively, and maintains patient safety and privacy Mentors staff and students, demonstrating critical thinking and technical skills Participates in on-call duties, collaborates with team members, and contributes to quality improvement Qualifications & Skills Associate's degree or Surgical Technology certificate Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days Willingness to accept new graduates and on-call responsibilities Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills Join a supportive environment committed to professional growth and excellent patient care, with competitive compensation and benefits. #J-18808-Ljbffr Azza HealthCare Agency
