Field Service Specialist

Job Description

The Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for supporting and optimizing field service operations through administration and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Field Service, coordination of strategic technical projects, management of critical technical documentation, and leadership of Field Service Coordinators. This role serves as a key liaison between Technical Services, Field Operations, Engineering, Controls & Automation, Rig Automation, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, effective communication, and operational excellence. The position provides project oversight, deployment coordination, reporting, document governance, and supervisory support while driving accountability for action items, technical initiatives, and continuous process improvements across the organization.

Responsibilities

D365 Field Service Support
• Provide advanced support and guidance to field technicians utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Field Service.
• Assist with D365 application enhancements, testing, development initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system improvements that increase operational efficiency and user adoption.
• Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and process optimization within the D365 environment.
Project Coordination and Deployment Support
• Track technical projects, deployments, and upgrade initiatives across multiple departments.
• Maintain project documentation including audit checklists, upgrade packages, after-action reviews (AARs), lessons learned, and action item tracking.
• Schedule and facilitate pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment review meetings.
• Monitor project action items and ensure timely completion by assigned personnel.
Operational Coordination
• Manage purchase requisition (PR) requests and associated project documentation.
• Support leadership meetings through agenda preparation, meeting minute documentation, and action item tracking.
• Manage communication and distribution of reports, updates, and technical information to field personnel and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain operational and executive-level reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
Document and Asset Management
• Manage and maintain the Technical Services document repository, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and version control.
• Maintain equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs) and critical spare parts information.
• Ensure documentation is current, complete, and compliant with organizational standards.
• Support document governance and continuous improvement of information management processes.
Leadership and Supervision
• Supervise and support Field Service Coordinator in the execution of daily responsibilities; Assign and prioritize workloads to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the coordination team.

Qualifications

Bachelor-s degree 3-5 years of experience in area of specialization High school diploma Excellent communication skills including speaking and writing Listening skills Problem solving ability
