Registered Veterinary Technician

Woodland Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing technicians who want to fully utilize their education and expertise while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets. In this role, you will: Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs. Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication. Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity. Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care. Schedule: This is a full‑time or part‑time position with 8‑hour shifts scheduled throughout the week, including weekends. Full‑time benefits and compensation: Compensation: $27-31 per hour, for each hour worked Bonus package: $2000 CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with choice of United Healthcare or Kaiser Permanente Life insurance, disability, and 401k options Employee Assistance Program Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Minimum qualifications and skill set: 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of California Proficiency in the following skills: Venipuncture and cystocentesis, placing IV catheters, anesthesia induction, intubation and monitoring, surgery prep and assistance, dentistry including prophy, polish, radiographs and charting, experience with dental extractions highly desired.
