Job Title: Driver Education Instructor

Salary: Local Driver Education Supplement

Reports To: District Director of Driver Education

Qualifications:

• NC Teaching License
• Driver Education Instructor Certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess a thorough knowledge of Driver Education coursework and NCDMV policies and qualification procedures for obtaining Driver License
• Possess a working knowledge of Canvas and Google Classroom platforms
• Possess a working knowledge of Zoom
• Possess a working knowledge of AV equipment for classroom use

Job Goal:

To provide high-quality driver education instruction that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and safe driving practices necessary to meet North Carolina driver education requirements and become responsible drivers.

• Teach classroom phase of Driver Education
• Teach behind the wheel phase of Driver Education
• Submit monthly reports in a timely manner
• Communicate with students and parents

Performance:

• Communicate with site coordinator and district coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Schedule service of vehicle on routine basis and as needed for repairs
• Other duties as assigned

Terms of Hourly pay based on experience

Employment Evaluation Annual performance evaluation by Director of Driver Education or Designee
