Details ICU Float Pool position primarily based in Medical ICU with overflow to Neuro ICU Required to float to SICU, Miller 3, Miller 4, ED boarders, and other surge areas based on skill and ability Patient population includes post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma, general surgery, and neurosurgery cases Performs IV starts, manages multiple titrating drips, and provides critical ventilator care 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week Minimum of every other weekend required with scheduling flexibility to meet unit needs No block schedules permitted Floating required with travelers prioritized to float first Requirements Active VT or compact RN license required AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification required prior to start; CCRN preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience required Prior travel assignment experience required Experience in a large teaching facility (500 bed count) required Experience with multi-system disease, CRRT, IABP, ECMO, COVID, ventilators, and multiple drip management required Hemodynamic device experience required Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required Any solid color scrubs permitted Additional Information Must be flexible with scheduling to meet unit and patient care needs Must work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays Candidates must be able to explain any employment gaps over 90 days Public transportation is not accessible in this area; reliable personal vehicle or rental vehicle strongly recommended Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April Local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-772440.
