Overnight Direct Support Professional

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking caring and reliable Overnight Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide overnight supervision and support within residential programs serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Ocean County.

This position is ideal for individuals who are responsible, attentive, and committed to ensuring a safe, secure, and supportive environment during overnight hours. Overnight DSPs play an essential role in maintaining continuity of care while assisting residents with their needs and preparing them for a successful start to the day.

Position details include:

• Schedule: Awake Overnight Shift | 11:00 PM 9:00 AM
• Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available
• Location: Ocean County, New Jersey
• Starting Pay: $20.70 per hour
• Earning Potential: Up to $24.70 per hour through applicable shift differentials and overtime opportunities
• Weekend availability required

Please note: Staff assigned to overnight shifts are required to remain awake and actively engaged throughout the duration of the shift.

Essential responsibilities include:

• Providing continuous supervision and support during overnight hours to ensure resident safety and well-being.
• Completing required hourly status checks and timekeeping procedures.
• Responding appropriately to resident needs, emergencies, and unexpected situations.
• Assisting individuals with morning routines, personal care, and preparation for daily activities.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe residential environment, including completion of housekeeping and household responsibilities.
• Monitoring the condition of the residence and reporting maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly.
• Supporting residents with activities of daily living including hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, laundry, and household tasks.
• Administering medications in accordance with agency procedures and individualized care plans.
• Implementing and following individualized behavioral, dietary, medical, mobility, and support plans.
• Completing accurate documentation including communication logs, medication records, incident reports, and daily notes.
• Supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and documenting progress as required.
• Promoting dignity, independence, choice, privacy, and respect for all individuals receiving services.
