Location: Toms River, NJ (Alberta Group Home)
Shift: Sunday – Wednesday, 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM

Pay Information

• Base Rate: $19.50/hour

• Weekend Rate: $20.50/hour

Job Overview

Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services , is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Full-Time Overnight Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our Toms River group home , supporting adults with disabilities.

This overnight role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while assisting residents in a safe, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Direct Support Professionals provide hands-on care, guidance, and mentorship to residents while helping them develop independence and essential life skills. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist residents with daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene)

• Support health and wellness, including personal medical care

• Encourage community participation and social engagement

• Promote emotional and social development (coping skills, communication, friendships)

• Support budgeting, money management, and other life skills

• Foster independence, dignity, and autonomy for residents

Qualifications

• 20 years or older

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to successfully complete:

  • State and Federal criminal background checks

  • Drug screening

  • Pre-employment physical and PPD

• Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service training
