Bookkeeper

Bookkeepers located in North Austin/Round Rock area, we have a fantastic opportunity for you!

Join a well-established international company and play a key role in overseeing financial operations across the U.S. business. The Bookkeeper  role will to support accounting functions, support regulatory compliance, and effectively process the operational accounting functions including billing resolution, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Business level Spanish skills highly preferred  The ideal candidate will have a team-oriented mindset and ensure operational accounting functions are kept current and accurate. 

Responsibilities Include

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
• Track company fixed assets for depreciation and insurance reporting purposes
• Assist with cash and fuel reconciliations
• Extract data from various financial reports for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
• Assist management with internal/external audits and periodic financial and tax reporting
• Maintain documented policies and procedures.
• Additional office management responsibilities and other support tasks as required

Skills & Knowledge

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and accounting concepts
• Excel & Word skills for creating and managing extensive detailed spreadsheets and reports
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems

Personal attributes

• Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, computer savvy, a process improver
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems

Experience & Education

• 2 years of Accounting experience in transportation, logistics or warehouse industries
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Quickbooks
• High volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing

salary: $30 - $32 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Associate

Thsi company is seeking a Bookkeeper to alliveate the operational accounting responsibilities from the higher level team member. This is a private company in the logistics/warehouse/transporation industry about 5 million in revenue doing internaitonal business in US and Mexico.

Bookkeeping in the logistics, warehousing, and transportation sector is significantly different from standard retail or professional services bookkeeping. This industry operates on high volume, tight margins, and tight timelines, bookkeepers must master specific accounting concepts, specialized workflows, and regulatory requirements.
