P Pipefitter
Duties
The duties include, but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain, repair and inspect all varieties of plumbing and gas piping systems and mechanical equipment used in the facility.
- Periodically inspect piping, valves, control fittings and auxiliary equipment of steam plant, gas fired equipment and steam, gas and water distribution systems for defects.
- Make rough sketches or prints of newly installed equipment to be delivered to the Pipe and Metal Supervisor for the purpose of updating the Master piping and plumbing blueprints.
- Erect or suspend scaffolding in the performance of duties and is responsible for the proper care and maintenance of his tools and equipment.
- Insure all tools and equipment are properly functioning and are safe for use.
- Construct necessary dust barriers and/or block-off areas as needed for the safety and protection of patients, staff, visitors and equipment.
Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday or Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm, 3:00 pm-11:30 pm, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am. Exact TOD for this position will be discussed during the interview and may be adjusted to meet the facility/department needs.
