Notary Public / Retail Sales Associate

Notary Public PositionThe UPS Store in Middletown is looking to fill a Notary Public position with our team. This position would require a current NYS Notary Public license. A Notary Public at The UPS Store will provide exceptional service to our valued customers. In addition to notary services, you will also be working along with the rest of our team assisting customers with all our other provided services. You will earn an additional $.50 commission per signature on top of your base hourly salary.The primary duty of a Notary Public at The UPS Store is to provide services to both walk-in customers and those scheduled by appointment. During down times between appointments, you will assist with other store functions as a retail customer-facing sales associate. UPS Store associates deliver world-class customer service to all customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.ResponsibilitiesProvide Notary services to our customersDelivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiriesContinuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadershipTakes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutionsTakes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trendsOperates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach othersMaintains a clean, organized, and safe working environmentPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsCurrent NYS Notary Public licenseHigh school diploma or GED requiredRetail/customer service experienceGood communication and people skillsAble to cross-sell and up-sell products and services.Excellent packing skillsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe SuitesOutstanding phone skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and mathPrompt, reliable, and responsibleAble to lift 40+ pounds The UPS Store
