Clinical & Administrative Associate, Progressive Care Cardiac Unit, 36hrs Days

Overview Winchester Hospital is a 5x Magnet designated, Top 10 Massachusetts recognized 223-bed regional hospital that is the leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area. Schedule 36 hours per week, day shift, including weekend and holiday rotations. Responsibilities Provide both clinical and administrative assistance on the unit. Perform basic procedures necessary for the care, comfort and safety of patients, including assisting with ADLs, ambulating patients, making occupied/unoccupied beds, transporting patients, collecting/labeling/transporting specimens, obtaining vital signs, and performing EKGs. Welcome and orient patients, family members, and significant others to the environment. Provide administrative support for the unit and staff so the patient care team can concentrate on providing superior patient care. Maintain accurate and complete medical charts for patients, including necessary forms for daily use; copy and fax paperwork as needed to expedite the patient care process among hospital departments and outside sources. Education and Experience Required High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant Nursing student with completion of one medical‑surgical clinical rotation Three months of clinical care experience Graduate of the Winchester Hospital’s Clinical Associate Training Program Preferred At least one year of previous work experience in an administrative support role. Skills and Knowledge Read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and hospital staff. Basic computer knowledge. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Licenses and Certifications Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred) Basic Life Support Required Pay Range $19.50 - $26.24 per hour. The pay range listed is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
