Lead Security Officer

Job Title: Lead Security Officer Department: Security and Traffic Operations Reports To: Director of Security FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

The Security Department at Lumen Field, Lumen Field Event Center and WaMu Theater provides services 24 hours each day, seven days a week and 365 days per year. The Security Operations Lead is responsible for performing the same duties of a Security Officer and to be the first level of supervision of the Security Officers, acting as a point-of-contact between the Security Officers and the Security Management Team. This position, in addition to the duties of the security officer, will oversee and implement policies and procedures for the efficient and safe operation of Lumen Field, Lumen Field Event Center and WaMu Theater; assist with developing internal training programs related to current industry standards for security best practices; assist with the development and maintenance of physical security measures and technology relevant to a professional sports venue and in compliance with the NFL Best Practices for Stadium Security. This is a full-time exempt position and at times will require work during evenings, weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform payroll functions for security personnel using Dayforce or other designated software system Perform Accounts Payable activities (processing POs, credit card reconciliation, etc.) Build the work schedule of all full and part-time security officers, ensuring there is proper coverage to maintain the needed security related services Ensure all part-time security officers scheduled to work do not exceed an average of 30 hours per week, in compliance with the organization’s HR policy Build staffing grids for all special events as directed Participate in meetings with the Director of Security and Event Managers to plan needed staffing resources for special events Maintain excellent working relationships with all internal and external partnerships Give direction and guidance to the full and part-time Security Officers, assisting with security related activities as deemed appropriate Assist the Director of Security with the management of requests for vacation, sick leave and time away from the building, ensuring that there is adequate coverage to maintain security services at all times Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent judgment while handling sensitive information and ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, team environment Self‑motivated and the ability to demonstrate initiative Exceptional organizational skills, time management and computer skills Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and/or weekends Strong work ethic Excellent attention to detail Must be able to obtain Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification within 12 months of hire EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED required Some college education preferred; preference given to Criminal Justice, Security or related fields of study Corporate security, military or law enforcement experience

Will at times be exposed to varied weather conditions During event days long periods of walking and standing are required Regularly required to use hands and fingers as well as walk long distances Required to reach with hands and arms Required to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl Required to lift up to 30 pounds The ability to focus, peripheral vision and close vision

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The hourly rate range for this position is $32.50 - $34.00 . The hourly rate applies to the current posting.
