Membership Sales & Guest Experience Specialist Scissors & Scotch is a barbershop and bar. It’s upscale but not uptight. S&S caters to clients from all walks of life looking for an amazing haircut plus that “Cheers” experience where everyone knows their name. This isn’t your typical front desk position. You’ll be the first and last impression for every guest while helping grow the business through relationship building, membership sales and outstanding hospitality. These are the requirements for this position: You’re a good person We live by our Core Principles. The first one is Do The Right Thing. It’s simple but it weeds out jerks. We don’t want jerks and neither should you. If you’re a jerk, don’t apply. You LOVE meeting, talking to, and connecting with people Your whole day is about people. The more you make clients feel special, have awesome interactions with them, make them laugh… the better you’ll do. You enjoy sales, especially when the sale saves the client money and truly makes sense. We are membership based and we are proud of it. Our membership is a phenomenal deal but part of your job is explaining that to people consistently. You can work a computer better than your parents. We have a POS system. We book appointments. We sell stuff. If opening the browser requires you to ask for help, this isn’t a great fit. You want to work in an upscale environment This is not the place to wear pajama bottoms to work. We deal with successful and awesome clients. Our team is also successful and awesome. There is no room for sloppiness, laziness, or showing up to work in last night’s dirty clothes. You want to grow personally Not every person at Scissors & Scotch is going to be with the company for life.
