We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and France. As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. For remote roles, and at our discretion, candidates may be asked to participate in an on-site interview as part of the final stages of the process. We're looking for an Authentication Guarantee Team Lead to support daily eBay operations and inspire team excellence. You'll embody collector obsession by ensuring every item is handled with care, get it right every time, and bring out the best in everyone through coaching and feedback. This role requires someone who leads with integrity and kindness, and isn't afraid to put the skunk on the table when challenges arise.You'll report to the Supervisor, eBay and work from our Santa Ana, CA office. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm.## What You'll Do:* Support and oversee daily eBay operations, ensuring we work backwards from collector needs and maintain the highest standards—because getting it right is non-negotiable* Monitor team performance and report on metrics (exceptions tracking, inbound/outbound mail, accuracy), providing accurate data for informed decisions* Seek feedback early and often—listen to team members, resolve conflicts with empathy, escalate when necessary, and always assume positive intent* Set clear team goals with supervisors and eBay leadership, starting with why to ensure everyone understands the goal and problem we're solving* Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments, reinforcing our culture of excellence* Discover training needs and provide coaching that fosters continuous learning and helps team members pursue long-term careers* Put the skunk on the table—share challenges transparently and early to address issues before they escalate* Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless operations aligned with our collector-first mission* Facilitate huddles, manage inventory/cycle counts, and reassign duties as needed* Lead by example and champion all company policies, including safety, attendance, and security## Who You Are:* 4-6 years of experience in a hands-on role in collectibles grading or authentication, fragile item handling, mail processing or shipping, or as an art or antiques handler or technician or similar position* Leads with Integrity—makes honest, ethical decisions because trust is our brand* Kind and respectful—assumes positive intent, provides constructive feedback, and creates an inclusive environment* Exceptional communicator (written and verbal) who articulates ideas clearly and justifies decisions confidently* Decisive problem-solver with high emotional intelligence who Plays to Win the Game through long-term thinking* Highly organized and detail-oriented with focused attention—you "sweat the small stuff" and conduct research meticulously* Effective at conflict resolution, breaks down problems into foundational truths, and questions assumptions* Empowers teams through coaching, fostering continuous learning, and encouraging knowledge sharing* Thrives in fast-paced environments, delegates effectively, and maintains a positive attitude* Punctual, prepared, responsible, and adaptable with strong teamwork skills* High school diploma or equivalent education background preferred, or equivalent work experience**Physical Demands:*** Bending and Twisting: Bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting.* Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time.* Hand Use: Regular hand use for various tasks.* Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.* Receiving and Inspecting Submissions: Ability to receive, and in some departments inspect, submissions. Ability to use a sharp blade and retrieve submissions from packaging.* Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.**Hourly Range:**The hourly range for this position is $23 - $26.
