WelderThe Welder, under direction of the Fleet Maintenance/Facilities Manager, with the use of welding machines and metals to repair sanitation containers while complying with all company and OSHA standards.Essential Functions:Assemble and repair metal structuresFabricate according to blueprintsExamine structures for metal defectsComplete light maintenance on metal structures, as neededCompleting repairs to fleet vehicles such as metal floor repair/replacement, metal rails, steel body fabrication and hydraulic cylinder replacementRequirements:Ability to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for our customers, employees and communityActively demonstrates Tiger Sanitation's core values in daily tasks and communications: Professionalism, Respect, Accountability and CommunicationAbility to demonstrate decision making skills that align with Tiger Sanitation's 4 Step Decision Making ProcessAbility to operate welding machines and torches to effectively repair metal containersAbility to act independentlyAbility to collaborate with coworkersAbility to prioritize activities in order to achieve, individual and team, expectations and goalsEducation and Experience:High School diploma or equivalent of education and experience, preferredAt least 1 year experience with metal fabricationMust obtain a valid driver's license, class C license at minimumWorking Conditions:This position will be based in a non-climate-controlled building with extended periods of standing, squatting and using manual dexterity to operate welding equipment.
