Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatrics Only (OR PEDS) registered nurse position in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves working within a pediatric surgical environment, providing specialized perioperative care for pediatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The position includes on-call responsibilities, with specific requirements for pediatric trauma and transplant experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, from 07:00 to 17:30, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities including one night per week, every 6-8 weekends, and holidays as operationally needed.
• Required Qualifications: RN license valid for Wisconsin or a current compact RN license, a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, pediatric trauma and transplant experience, Pediatric Operating Room (Pedi OR) experience, and strong skills in blood and blood product administration, pediatric surgical procedures, and intraoperative patient management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting systems such as Epic, and previous work in a community hospital setting or Level I trauma center.
• Additional Information: Candidates must pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria, including identification of lethal rhythms and questions regarding heart blocks, with up to three attempts allowed. The assignment requires floating as needed, with a local rule of 50 miles from the facility.
