Server Job

The server is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives covering the social venues of the hotel. The server sets-up, services, and breaks-down the restaurant/lounge area ensuring a high level of quality, consistency and service.

Job responsibilities include:

• Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Acting as a food runner/busser when needed in restaurant/lounge.
• Selling menu items, not just being an order taker.
• Serving beverages and food orders to customers.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure restaurant is well-stocked.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Working with bar team and leadership to maintain high level of service and guest satisfaction.
• Providing Sonesta A+ Service and G.U.E.S.T standards.
• TABC & Food Handler Certified.
• Availability on weekends, holidays, afternoon, evenings and night shifts.
